Ms. Icey's Kitchen and Bar

This place is so stinking cute!

When you walk in you get all types of New York vibes and I absolutely adore it!

The atmosphere was very chill!

Good music, beautiful art + decor, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. 

It was a good mix of date night + young professionals gathering after work or school.

I was reading up on the website and this restaurant is described as a Southern and Caribbean fusion - two types of food I'm always down to eat!

Ms. Icey's was recommended by a friend who is a fellow "medical foodie" (Is that even a thing? Let's make it a thing!) I was planning to make a solo visit but ended up attending a girl's night dinner much sooner!

What I Ordered:

• Jerk Lamb Rib - Everything was delicious but I wish the portion sizes were bigger! If you're going to order this I suggest getting an appetizer. This is lamb done right. The meat literally melts in your mouth; it's so tender! The kale was tossed in some kind of sweet lemon dressing that was really tasty! This was more like eating a salad rather than boring dinner vegetables. Mashed sweet potatoes are something I didn't know I needed in my life and now I can't live without them. Every part of this meal complimented each other so well. 
• Mama Mavis' Crusta - Anytime I go out to eat I always get stuck on 2-3 drinks. The deciding factor: I tell the server "I like my alcohol to taste like juice." This tasted like fruit punch; it was mixed to perfection! My only regret is that I didn't order a second drink.

Other menu options!

I've heard the "Strip Club Wings" are phenomenal. They sound like it!

Also, some girls at the dinner ordered the chicken and waffles and said it was enough for two meals. 

In hindsight, this is an excellent deal but I wasn't a fan of the dessert options!

Bonus: They also serve brunch!

Overall, I had a great time! The restaurant has such a "homey" atmosphere! We were there for hours but it didn't feel like it! This is such a cute restaurant! It feels so authentic; You can feel it when you walk in. I can't wait to go back for brunch and dinner round 2! Next time I have to really chow down!
