A little background: I currently work in the CV IMCU (Cardiovascular Intermediate Care Unit) in a Level 2 trauma center. I interviewed in November and I was hired in December. The program does not have a set length as they aim to retain students until they graduate. Some people are only in the program for 1 semester and some for 1+ year. A minimum of 1 semester of clinical experience is required. Students in my program are considered FIRST for those coveted Nursing Residency positions.
